If you’re funny, you can get away with anything. Even sending spammy emails.

The headline piqued your interest, right? If it hadn’t, you wouldn’t have read this first paragraph.

That’s Jon

Have you ever met someone who helped you see things in a different way and that made you realize, “Damn it. I’ve been doing it all wrong”? Well, that happened to me when I met (in a Facebook group) Jon Buchan of Charm Offensive. I heard Jon’s story and said, “You’re kidding me, right?” I had to dive in deeper to learn more about it, so I did. I joined his private Facebook group — Charm Offensive — Effective Cold Email, Direct Mail and Ad Copy.

One thing I really don’t like is doing Cold Email, Direct Mail or writing Ad Copy, so there was no reason for me to want to join this group, but Jon’s story enticed me to join to see if I could learn a thing or two (and I have).

Basically, in a nutshell, Jon got stinkin’ drunk one night and wrote an email he was going to send to his cold market. He didn’t send it that night, but when he woke up the next morning (still a little drunk because it hadn’t worn off yet), he still thought the email would be good to send, so he did.

Well, the responses he got were astonishing. He was onto something. Be humorous in your emails and you just might get “their” attention.

In this video, I interview Jon about his system and how it works. If you enjoy it, come join us in the Facebook group, Charm Offensive, and learn a thing or two about sending cold emails.

By the way, I’m going to try his techniques on my warm market, too, so you might hear a slightly different tone in my emails moving forward. Basically, I’m going to be ME in my emails (not that I wasn’t being me before, but I was leaving out my humor).

p.s. I’d love to hear from you. What are you up to? What do you have planned this coming week? How can I serve you?
